Song Lyrics
Hey family,
I need to write some song lyrics...lots of verses, about birds and elephants. The more ridiculous the better.
I know that that doesn't sound very promising, but it is for a class.
If any of you have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
Ben and Sam are composing ponderous and soaring notes for me...
Mom

Birds and elephants
Elephants and birds
Birds and elephants
Elephants and birds
Repeat this 1000x with some synth and you have a workable techno track
that marvelous
marvelous that
100X
Elephants cannot fly
no matter how much they try
Elephants think they're better than birds
Cause elephants know all the big words
But birds know that size is irrelevant
For no matter the size of the elephant
And no matter how loudly they trump
Elephants cannot fly (or even jump)
Well, I tiried posting this and poof, it disappeared.
Here goes again...
Irrelevant and elephant..Oh very good.
I was thinking about a ballad..
Migrating birds,tired flock
landed on an elephant
thought it was a rock
wonderful! throw it all together, I say!
You neglected to post a recording of the final, accompanied product.
Not done yet...you will have to wait with baited breath. Have been struggling with Microsoft Access all afternoon...finally done. Finished lyric by Thursday afternoon, promise! Remember my motto, borrowed from GKC, anything worth doing is worth doing badly.
Well, here it is, as promised:
Tired Sparrow
Tired sparrow, what's the date?
Today's migration, crap, I'm late.
Gotta get going, pack my bag
There's too much stuff I have to drag.
Chorus:
Tired bird
Behind the flock
Saw an elephant
Thought it was a rock.
Sprawling seas, no land in sight.
Hours and hours of endless flight
Wings exhausted, mind is stressed
This is the ultimate avian test.
(Chorus)
Approaching land, sweet relief
A rocky coast, the oceans reef
Pinfeathers up, tailspin down
runway clears on a giant gray mound
(chorus)
A breath, a rest,landing brings
Should be stable, this stone swings.
Pachyderm rock, a crazy dance.
Take off now, I'll take a chance.
(Chorus 2X)
fabulous! but a recording of the final rap performance is missing.
The music is composed, final recording date set for next Thursday. I can perform it for you tomorrow...Bredon has suggested a new intro.
Lovely performance.
