Vacation

We had a relaxing week on the Beach. Ahhh, balm for the soul and burn for the body. The waves were a blast to swim in. We had some chances to talk, read, and oh yes, catch up on Monopoly. I really have a great family! Sorry, I don't mean to rub it in for those who were slaving away while we had fun, but I wish you were all there.

This American Life

I just started watching Showtime's TV version of This American Life, and I really love it. They hooked me in by promising animation by Chris Ware, one of the best comic book authors out there, and now I can't stop watching. I haven't heard much of the radio show, though I have tuned across it in the car occasionally - I do remember hearing a story by Richard Bausch that was really interesting, though I never caught the end until I went back and looked it up later. They're really good at making little things interesting, and what gets me is that even though they have a sense of humor about the stories they do, they approach them all with a real sense of compassion.

A Wonderful Visit

We had so much fun visiting Aunts Judy & Elayne. They treated us like royalty, and California was breathtakingly beautiful. It was wonderful to see them and we had a most enjoyable trip.

Max Beerbohm

I've been reading a lot of Max Beerbohm's essays lately. The man is hilarious.

Here is my favorite one:

How Shall I Word It?

Soccer

These guys are really dedicated to play this game in the cold, windy, rainy spring weather here. Go Ben and Sam.

FLUNK DAY!!!

Hooray! I get to tell drunk residents not to pee in trash cans! What fun?

Also, a sculpture, test, and paper are postponed until Tuesday.
